In Escambia County, children who lose a parent, sibling, or caregiver often have nowhere to turn. Grief can look like anger, withdrawal, trouble at school, or silence. Without support, these children carry that weight alone.

Valerie's House NWFL exists to change that. We provide trauma-informed, peer-based grief support for children, teens, young adults, and caregivers after the death of a loved one. Every program is offered at no cost, so finances are never a barrier to a family getting help.

Valerie’s House Hero Programs offer several ways to make a meaningful local impact. From sponsoring group nights and shared meals to funding month-long services or a full year of care for one child, each giving level helps grieving children and families receive the support, resources, and connection they need to heal

- Supports Valerie’s House core programs for a quarter, helping fund group nights, meals, and peer support for hundreds of grieving children and families.
$10,000 — Empower Healing
- Covers a full month of grief services, including group activities, meals, specialty groups, family care calls, volunteer support, and therapeutic resources.
$5,000 — Connections Catalyst
- Funds activities for monthly group nights, providing materials and trained facilitators for children and families attending on-site and off-site support sessions.
